Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT

Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is currently welcoming an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT for our Medical Oncology Department!

This role will work closely with our Medical Oncology specialist, RVT and technician assistant, to provide excellent care to patients requiring this service. The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills, as well as a keen interest in building and maintaining relationships with pet parents. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement in various cases.

Previous experience in a specialty role (especially medical oncology) would be an asset but is not required.

Compensation: $19.00 to $38.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.

Schedule: This position is full-time (40 hrs/wk). Shifts are 10 hours in length, 4 days per week. The department is currently open Monday through Thursday each week.
• Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register
• Perform clinical procedures; Venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, chemotherapy drug administration and patient assessment
• Willing to enhance technical skills
• Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
• Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
• Strong ability to problem-solve
