We are a locally owned and operated, fully equipped emergency hospital servicing dogs, cats, and exotic pets. There is a great need for an emergency facility in this region, with the closest such facility being 2 hours away, and we look forward to providing gold-standard emergency care to all the pets in and around Kamloops.
Some of the services we will offer our patients include digital x-ray, ultrasound, full in-house IDEXX diagnostics, CT imaging, endoscopy, emergency surgery and round the clock 24-hour care. We will have a visiting specialist surgeon and hope to grow the specialty side of the hospital in the coming years.
It takes a dedicated team to provide this care, and we are looking for Lead CCR suited to the exciting and challenging world of emergency medicine.

For our team, we have a full kitchen and break room, lockers and personal storage. The hospital has ample safe parking, secure entry with overnight monitoring, and is located on a bus route next to a shopping complex with many other businesses that are open late!
Lead CCR Roles and Responsibilities:
Support CCRs
• Train CCRs in standards of operations
• Interface as needed between front and back of house. Be the leading example of over-communication throughout cases and tasks
• Assist CCRs with questions concerning procedures or scenarios
• Step in if CCRs needs support in an difficult interaction/phone call
• Advise CCRs on how to proceed and/or how to phrase things in complex phone calls/interactions as needed
• Provide support to CCRs to debrief after difficult situations, providing a calm and supportive atmosphere for them to be heard and understood
• Direct CCRs in completion of everyday tasks and checklists, or follow up to ensure tasks are done and areas are clean.
• Overseeing and supporting CCRs in admin tasks such as emailing, managing medical records, creating signage, scanning documents, etc
• Mediate and guide CCRs and other staff in interpersonal conflicts, and briefing Dani or Adrian and/or providing necessary updates.
• Prompt breaks as needed and ensure everyone is taking fair breaks as much as possible
Collaborate with Co-Lead and Managers
• Establish procedures alongside other lead CCR, team, and managers
• Perform/delegate admin duties as assigned by Office Manager
• Collaborate with other Lead on scheduling and approving leave requests
• Meet with Office Manager and/or Clinic Owner as necessary to discuss various needs and concerns
• Be present and/or lead disciplinary meetings and conflict resolution meetings
• Provide feedback to Managers regarding staff performance, strengths and weaknesses, concerns and improvements
• Interface with brand reps and salespeople as requested by Manager
Admin and Managerial Duties
• Daily cashout. This includes counting cash, running daily reports, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining necessary cash amounts.
• Identify areas of need in the workplace and troubleshoot solutions, whether it be office supplies, cleaning tools, organizational tools, or new/altered procedures
• Overseeing mail duties: ordering mail pick ups, packaging parcels, keeping track of outgoing mail, directing incoming mail to proper place.
• Prepping for outpatient procedures, whether uploading patient documents for specialists, directing referral requests, preparing paperwork for procedures, or delegating to CCRs
• Daily check of Dayforce to approve and modify shifts
• De-escalate tense situations with clients or the general public
Requirements
• Management experience 2-4 years Minimum
• Previously worked within the veterinary field (Preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel,)
• Experience with scheduling and payroll.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
