Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technologist (Full-time)

Four veterinarian, private practice located on the Saanich Peninsula seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist that will have the opportunity to apply all of their knowledge and skills and grow in their profession. Competitive wage based on experience, CE allowance, Employer paid Medical and Dental Coverage, Signing Bonus with a moving fee, Full or Part time hours offered.

Responsibilities
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and cytology.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor and record animal vital signs and behavior during procedures.
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist in post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments.
• Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff by following sanitation protocols.

Requirements
• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technologist is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques related to veterinary medicine.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and care.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is a plus.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
