VCA Canada Ottawa Veterinary Hospital is welcoming a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care Coordinator to join our emergency care team.

Responsibilities:
• Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
• Admitting and discharging pet patients
• Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

Desired Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with previous veterinary experience. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.
• 1-2+ years of experience as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and schedule appointments effectively.
• Compassionate and professional
• Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

Schedule:
• Days, evenings, weekends
• Full-time or Part-time
