Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant Position Now Available. (Family-owned practice)

Country Grove Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the well-being of our patients while contributing to a positive experience for pet owners.

Responsibilities
• Assist veterinarians and technician during examinations and procedures by restraining animals and preparing necessary equipment.
• Perform laboratory tasks such as collecting samples, running tests, and maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the clinic, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including treatment areas, surgical suites, and waiting rooms.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ care and treatment plans.
• Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing invoices.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.

Qualifications
• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is required.
• Veterinary Office Assistant diploma is an asset but not required.
• Strong interest in animal care and welfare is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends as needed.
• Dependable. We are a small team and every one's role is important.

Wage: $17.75-$21.00 (Pending experience)
