Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and support in a veterinary clinic setting.
Responsibilities
Main duties including but not limited to
- Restrains animals as needed.
- Marks charts correctly for eating, drinking, fecal and urine production.
- Feed animals according to schedules
- Clean and disinfect cages, runs as needed
- Clean cat litter boxes.
- Clean and disinfect all food and water bowls.
- Picks up soiled bedding and moves it to the laundry area. Places clean bedding in runs with animals.
- Records and labels all belongings.
- Walks all dogs.
- Provides friendly interaction with clients and animals. Ensures customer satisfaction.
- Maintains cleanliness of the entire hospital
- Answer phones and book appointments if needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling and record keeping
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.50-$16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
Experience:
• Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2024-09-11
