Victoria Street Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Surgeon (Full-time)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Small & Large Animal, Orthopedic & Soft tissue Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal care and welfare, with the ability to perform surgical procedures on a variety of animals. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality veterinary services while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. The Veterinary Surgeon will work closely with a team of veterinary professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
• Perform surgical procedures on animals, including orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
• Must be able to fix fractures and joint injuries including but not limited to cruciate repair.
• Must be able to perform orthopedic surgeries in both Large & small animals.
• Must be willing to go out in the fields to perform procedures as needed.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients.
• Utilize laboratory equipment to perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all surgical procedures.
• Educate pet owners on post-surgical care and preventive health measures.
• Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and surgical techniques.

Experience
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
• Master degree in veterinary surgery.
• 8-10 Years Experience in performing surgeries.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
